Online gamblers in Finland have waited this long, so it should be no problem to wait another month for the new online casino in the country. The launching date has been delayed for the Finnish Slot Machine Association's (RAY) online casino.

The casino was expected to be launched back in March, but last minute safeguards were being put in place that delayed the casino from opening. The delay had mostly to do with loss limits for the various games that will be offered.

The online casino will be cutting edge when it is finally launched in March. The casino will come equipped with top of the line technology that will show betting patterns for gamblers. Any quick increase in bets will raise a red flag for operators.

The laws in Finland are such that each game has its own limits. Gamblers may not be allowed to bet as much at roulette as they will be able to bet on craps. The differences in wagering limits has made it difficult, according to the head of RAY gaming operations Kari Hyttinen, to implement the software to cover all of the rules.

Gamblers have been waiting for RAY to launch their casino for months. RAY has a monopoly on casino gambling in Finland, so outside of heading to offshore online sites, residents have been unable to enjoy online gaming in the past.

Finland is one of many countries that is opening up their Internet gambling industry. The largest market in the world, however, the US, has still not had their government fully support online gaming regulations.
