The need for animal protection and assistance is a global issue and this week we want to do our part in showing that we care for the animals of the world!

Some tips on animal rescue:

If you see a dog on the highway or road that looks like it is lost or possibly abandoned, safely stop and call your local animal rescue group or shelter.

Support sterilisation and ensure that your pets are spayed or neutered to reduce the number of unwanted pets born each year that often end up in shelters or put to sleep.

Support animal rights groups such as Peta UK, Humane Society International, RSPCA and WSPA.

Don't buy exotic pets – this trade supports the poaching and smuggling trade, and sees many exotic species returned to shelters across the country as owners struggle to care for these animals.

Play in the Animal Rescue Games and lend some support to this initiative!
