People are realizing bingo is not just accessible to older people, it has been noted. The offer of big money and the atmosphere of venues are making bingo games popular among a variety of different age groups, it has been claimed.
Susie Roberts, general manager at Tejas Bingo in Conroe, told the Chronicle Correspondent her bingo hall attracts 200 people on average on a Saturday or Sunday. She said a lot of young people try their luck in the bingo hall, which hosts competitions for seven different charities.
These include the Conroe Professional Firefighters Association, Eastex Detachment Marine Corp League and Conroe Police Officer's Association. Glynda Meeler, who has been playing bingo at the centre since its opening almost a decade ago, noted the pastime offers something fun to do and gives players the chance to win their money back.
Ms Roberts stated the venue tries to make bingo roomies feel at home and when people visit the establishment they realise it is not just a place for older people. A recent article in the Basingstoke Advertiser noted online bingo offers those not wanting to brave a cold winter's night a way to spend a night in. It added that by participating in deposit free games, players do not need to worry about parting with their cash before they start.
